Before developing new markets, Joe takes the pulse of his clientele. His guests dictate demand, he says, so he’s always listening, never shy about talking to them directly and uses surveys where he thinks it might help. If he feels there is a growing demand for Italy, he hops on a plane and gets down to research. Clients are usually more than happy to provide comments, especially when they know their advice is being taken to heart. "Feedback is really important; the information is all there, it’s just a matter of going out and finding it," Joe said.
